Don’t Waste the Storm

Eagles don’t avoid opposing winds.
They fly directly into them.
While other birds seek shelter from the storm, eagles use the resistance to rise higher. The stronger the wind, the higher they soar.
Eagles understand something instinctively that many of us forget in difficult seasons:
Not every storm is there to stop you.
Some storms are there to lift you.
I know life can throw some incredibly difficult curve balls.
The kind that leave you emotionally exhausted.
The kind that shake your confidence.
The kind that make you want to retreat, stay small or simply stop trying for a while.
And if you’re in one of those seasons right now, I want you to know this:
You are allowed to acknowledge that it’s hard, without giving up on yourself.
You don’t have to pretend everything is okay.
You don’t have to force positivity.
You don’t have to have all the answers yet.
But don’t waste the storm.
Because even in the middle of difficulty, something is being built within you.
Strength.
Wisdom.
Resilience.
Discernment.
Self-trust.
The storm reveals things.
It shows you what no longer aligns, what you’ve outgrown and what can no longer come with you into the next season of your life. It teaches you what truly matters; your peace, your values, your relationships and your purpose. While storms are uncomfortable, they often grow us in ways comfort never could. They strengthen us, deepen us and quietly prepare us for who we are becoming.
One day you’ll realise this season didn’t just challenge you- it changed you.
You’ve learned.
You’ve stretched.
You’ve survived moments you once thought might break you.
I think sometimes we underestimate ourselves because growth rarely feels graceful while it’s happening. Most transformations happen when we can't see anything changing. But it's in the moments where you choose to keep going. In the moments where you take the next step despite fear. In the moments where you rest, regroup and rise again.
And maybe that’s where you are right now.
Beginning to move again after a difficult season. Finding your footing again. Starting to believe in yourself again.
If that’s you, don’t stop now.
Not because you need to prove your worth.
Not because you should push yourself beyond your limits.
But because there is still more ahead for you.
More purpose. More clarity. More peace. More confidence.
More life waiting on the other side of this season.
The eagle does not waste the storm.
And neither should you.
One day you will look back and realise the very winds you thought would defeat you were the same winds teaching you how to rise.
It’s take-off time.
